Randy Bray

Serving the families of Temple Baptist Church and School has been my joy since August of 1997. Since then, my family has changed and grown to include my new wife Becky and her four children. With my two sons, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, and an “adopted” daughter, I believe that brings the total of the Bray clan to fourteen. Though Becky and I remained single for several years following our spouses‘ deaths, we became enthusiastically convinced of the Lord’s will and were married September 1, 2012.

My educational and ministry journeys began in 1974 when I graduated from the Institute of Christian Service at Bob Jones University. Youth ministry was my wife’s and my focus for fourteen years prior to my becoming a pastor in 1988 in Athens, Georgia. While serving in that capacity, I began pursuing an undergraduate degree in theology. Upon moving to Asheville, I continued my studies at Ambassador Baptist College and received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree in 2003 and a Master of Sacred Theology degree in 2010. I am presently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from the Seminary at Bob Jones University.

The campuses of Temple Baptist Ministries have changed dramatically over the past several years, but the primary ambition has been and continues to be assisting lives to be changed into “the image of Christ” (Romans 8:29) through salvation and spiritual growth (2 Peter 1:3-10). The development of new ministry personnel and opportunities remains an ambitious commitment of the Pastoral and Administrative staff and of the church and school families.
